Chino Latino Jazz Project at Jazz Central!

The Chino Latino Jazz Project returns to Jazz Central!! This evening will see Jazz Central Studios turned into a Latin Dance Studio!! All dance studios and latin dancers welcome.

Dances featured by the Chino Latino Jazz Project:

SALSA / CHA-CHA-CHA / MERENGUE / CUMBIA / BOLERO / RUMBA CUBANA! JAMBE is a monthly jazz series exploring jazz from the world by local Minneapolis world jazz ensembles. There will be a free salsa dance lesson at the beginning of the evening. The Chino Latino Jazz Project (CLJP) is dedicated to presenting latin jazz in the dance styles of salsa, cha-cha-cha, merengue, cumbia, bolero, and rumba/bembe. Following in the traditions of Poncho Sanchez and Tito Puente in a small combo setting, Chino Latino specializes in both sophisticated and danceable arrangements. CLJP is proud to be featured with salsa and latin dance studios such as the Arthur Murray School, and the Dancer's Studio. CLJP personnel includes an international cast of virtuosos from three continents. Curated by Peter Shu $12 Cover $7 with Student ID Kids under 12 yrs. free admission This is a family-friendly event!
